A Sledding we will go... Edited on 12.10.2009

Hi

This is another gift card holder I made this week, I'm loving giving gift cards this year as the recipients seem much more appreciative of them.

OK,  so I was inspired by the challenge over on Pals Paper Arts. I decided to take the challenge at face value- hence the sled. Also for the challenge over at Stamp for Fun and Crazy for Challenges.

I made the sled from memory- we don't get snow here so I hope it came out OK, I also didn't have time to google - as true to form I begun this at 11 pm the night before my eldest son had to give it to his teacher.

Here are some other views of the sled gift card holder.

Here is a side view, I even put blades on the holder.

Bottom view. The top and bottom layers do not align with each other, the bottom layer extends beyound the top layer to give it the lip. See pic below of top of gift card holder.

(Untidy I know. I later covered my bad gluing!)

Top of gift card holder.

Close up of front and back of tag I attached- you can download these here for free.

Freebie: Since it is the season of giving,
1. right click on image below
2. select save image as
and you will have the sled template for personal use.

EDITED TO ADD:
For another take on how to strengthen the blade/runner  - check out  the Stamp-n-Design blog she made some variations to the sled which are great. I love seeing how others use my templates.

I really loved making this and my sons teacher was really thrilled too.

Thanks for looking
Happy crafting
Paola
